Here is a simple paneer starters recipe. You can say this is paneer tikka on a pan! The paneer can easily be substituted with chicken or fish.
Ingredients:
600 grams paneer
150 grams hung curd
1/2 tsp garam masala powder
1 tsp cumin powder
2 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli paste
1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp salt
Method:
1. Cut the paneer into big square chunks.
2. Make a paste of the remaining ingredients, except the oil. Make sure you are using hung curd, and that all water has been drained out.
3. Coat the paneer chunks with this paste on all four sides. Keep aside for 15 minutes.
4. Heat oil. Shallow fry till paneer is golden brown.
Serve.
