Eid is incomplete without seviyan and sheer khurma. Seviyan is an important part of breakfast on Eid and is also served to guests. There are many variants to seviyan. 200 grams vermicelli
3 tbsp sugar
4 to 5 green cardamoms (powdered)/ 1 tsp cardamom powder
1 tbsp ghee
Water as needed
1 cup sliced pistachios, cashews, and almonds
1. Break the bunch of vermicelli into half, manageable pieces.
2. Heat the ghee on low flame and add the nuts. Fry for a second.
3. Fry the vermicelli till it turns a shade darker than golden. Add sugar, water, and powdered cardamoms. You can adjust sugar according to your taste.
4. Cook on a medium flame, stirring continuously till the water dries.
