1 tsp whole black peppercorns
1 tsp salt
2 cloves garlic

The way:

Marinade the chicken in yogurt and ginger-garlic paste. Leave aside for half an hour.

Cut the onion into thin slices. Heat 1tsp ghee along with 2 tbsp oil in a vessel. Add cardomoms, cinnamon, cloves, and whole cumin seeds. Add the onions. Fry till crispy golden brown.

Now add the tomatoes and cook till oil separates. Add the marinated chicken, stir, cover and cook on low flame for fifteen minutes. You will see that an aromatic base for your curry has formed.

Add the chopped potatoes and stir. Now, add the green chilli paste, a pinch of turmeric powder. Cover, and let the chicken cook on low flame.

Usually, there is no need to add water to allow the meat to cook. If you require to do so, add one cup water, and allow the curry to cook.
