Kheema Paratha

Paratha is an important part of the South Asian cuisine. Kheema paratha is a favourite non-vegetarian alternative to paratha. Here is an alternate recipe to the usual flour-kneading method. You’ll be sure your kids will enjoy a wholesome and healthy meal for lunch.

Ingredients:
1 packet of large ready-made spring roll sheets
½ kg minced meat
150gms Spring onion finely chopped
3 to 6 green chilies
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tsp jeera powder
1tsp garam masala powder
½ tsp turmeric powder
Juice of half a lime
2 eggs beaten
Salt and pepper to taste.
Oil or ghee

Method:
In a vessel, add two and half cups of water. Add kheema, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder. Cook on low flame until all the water has dried out.

Keep the cooked kheema aside to cool, and add the green chilies, spring onion, jeera powder, garam masala and lime juice. Mix well.

Take a spring roll sheet, spread a tablespoon full of the beaten egg over it, covering all the corners. Then spread a layer of the kheema. Pour some more egg over it and cover it with another sheet of spring roll. Seal the corners (stick to one another due to the egg).

Heat a non stick pan. Drizzle some oil or ghee on it, place the paratha and then cook both sides.
