Chicken lollipop recipe is a simple one. The first time that I attempted to make it (years ago), I came across different chicken lollipop recipes that completely left me confused. I decided to go with my gut, or taste buds rather, and seasoned the lollipops with some basic ingredients. The idea was to have the dish carry the essence of Chinese cuisine . You must have come across many Indian-influenced lollipop recipes that include food colouring. I continue to stick to my recipe for chicken lollipops. They’ve had my folks relish it. So why not share it with Cukzy readers!
6 chicken lollipops
1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
2 tsp chilli garlic sauce
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp black pepper powder
1 tsp chilli vinegar
2 tbsp plain flour (maida)
2 eggs, beaten
Oil to deep fry
1. Marinate the chicken lollipops in ginger-garlic paste, chilli garlic sauce, soy sauce, and black pepper for half an hour.
2. Add in the flour to the marinated chicken and mix well. Then, add in the eggs and salt.
3. Heat the oil to deep fry. Mix the chicken pieces well, and fry the chicken one by one on medium flame.
4. Fluctuate the heat to ensure the the chicken is cooked from the inside and not burnt on the outside.
Your chicken lollipops are ready!
Note: If you don’t have chilli garlic sauce or paste at hand, you can make it by grinding few dried red chilies and garlic cloves with a tablespoon of tomato sauce.
